New York

I'm a Kobe fan. Huge Kobe fan. He's practically my generation's MJ. Nothing against MJ, I just never saw him play much. I went to the United Center once, when I was seven, and all I remember is Scottie Pippen's crew-cut and cotton candy. Also, I'm from D.C., so the fact that MJ ruined the entire development and chemistry of an up-and-coming Washington Wizards team, just so he could milk a little more limelight, doesn't really sit well.

Wow did St Louis stink it up last week. The Giants beat them like they owed them money. Marc Bulger's back must be killing him. The Giants D-Line was on his back all Sunday. Six sacks! Oh yes. So many

If you are a MLB manager in New York, you are involved in some risky business.  No matter how much you do for your team over the years, one false move could end up with you not having a job.

It seems that this year the The New York Yankees won't be sending more than 1 (maybe 2) players to the All Star game being held in Yankee Stadium. Johnny Damon had a stellar month in May, but can he keep it up? Alex Rodriguez went down and bounced back nicely. Derek Jeter has been up and down all year, and Jorge Posada is still out. With the All Star game only about a month away it will be intresting to see which

I'm a 24 year old from Brooklyn and a huge New York sports fan. I root for just about all the NY teams, except for the Islanders, and although I'm mostly a Yankees and Giants fan, I root for the Mets and Jets, too when they play other cities, I can't be a NY hater, I'm sorry. My timing for writing this couldn't be better. The Yankees get crushed again tonight, The Mets got killed, Rangers got killed again last night and they are pretty much done. Good Times in

I never thought my obsession with the Giants would lead me to blogging but here we go.  The New York Giants have lost some key pieces to their superbowl team with the departure of Gibril Wilson, Kawika Mitchell, and Reggie Torbor.   Mathais Kiwanuka will be back from injury which takes care of the loss of Torbor.  We have signed Sammy Knight to replace Wilson, but have not found anybody to add depth to those positions.

effective use of their red zone opportunities and do a better job scoring touchdowns while limiting New York mostly to field goals, as they did to San Diego two weeks ago. I hate to say it, but I'm afraid we're looking at 19-0 here, folks.

the Giants that I haven’t seen in a very long time.   Dare I even undermine my own New Yorkness for a second, and say that I find it quite refreshing to see this town lose its cynicism and view their “underdog” Giants through the same lens as the “Little Engine that Could.”  Even the media seems to be taking a bit of small town stance, chatting up Big Blue as if they were some Midwestern high school team en route to the state championship game.  Funny how things change.
