Okay, let's just be honest here.  Nate Robinson may not have fully deserved the 2006 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Title, but he sure earned it this year.  Nate battled the defending champion, Dwight Howard, in the Finals and one-upped the ultimate gamesman in the end.  Together they put on possibly the greatest show in the history of the contest since the days of Michael Jordan battling Dominique Wilkins.

It all began on one fateful day in January when the Memphis Grizzlies gift-wrapped a late Christmas Gift for the Los Angeles Lakers in the mold of Pau Gasol, the center that solidified Showtime as the front-runner in the Western Conference. The arms race began! The domino effect led to two desperate acts of self-destruction in Shaquille O'Neal to the Phoenix Suns and Jason Kidd to the Dallas Mavericks. Those moves pushed the usually level-headed Spurs into making a level-headed move in picking up Kurt Thomas... yet the games had just begun.

Any package of Ben Wallace for Pau Gasol would do wonders. That, is of course, if the Memphis Grizzlies are interested. The Bulls have lacked a low post scorer for years and has been the main reason for their downfall. You can only live by the jump-shot for so long. A package of Wallace, Thomas, and Duhon may be able to get the deal done. The Bulls will never be a contender without a low post scoring threat. Right now, they have some bargaining chips to make a move for the immediate future. They have to be active during the trade deadline if they have any hope at furthering themselves in the playoffs. Otherwise, Detroit and Boston will pick them off very easily.
