Short Shots:   

Eric Mangini has been named the head coach of the Cleveland Browns.  I’m not sure why the Jets fired him in the first place?  The Jets are a decent team, but Favre just faded down the stretch…he’s just too old.  I’m not sure Mangini was entirely onboard with Farve’s acquisition in the first place.  I bet the Jets are kicking themselves for cutting Pennington.

quo;I’m not telling you if I’m retiring or not routine” again.  Their coach, Eric Mangini, got fired to boot!  Miami won the AFC East crown…that’s just absolutely amazing.  From 1-15 to 11-5…way to go Parcells and Sparano!

           Each week, on Friday, I will look into my (never wrong, just misinformed) crystal ball and give my predictions for that weekend games.  I will always prognosticate on the Eagles and Cowboys games and then pick two more games of interest (to me, that is, not necessarily to you).  Keep in mind, that this is for entertainment purposes only, and that I do not endorse any sort of legal or illegal gambling.  That being said…let’s see what’s in my crystal ball!

luded the promotion of 36 year old Mike Tannenbaum to General Manager and the hiring of 35 year old Eric Mangini as Head Coach.  At first, both looked like “finds” that only the Jets -- the oh-so precocious Jets -- had on their radar.  Add in the high grades they got at the time with drafting Nick Mangold and D’Brickashaw Ferguson, and suddenly there was a lot less shame with being a Jet fan.
