Tough one for the Texans and their faithful. 

-Brett Favre continued to amaze the rest of the public (I sit on the sidelines and shake my head at him) by adding to his legend with a last-second game-winning heave to Greg Lewis. Favre displayed incredible arm strength -- something he rarely did last season with my Jets -- firing the ball deep down the field under intense pressure. Lewis did an outstanding job maintaining his footwork and coming down with the backbreaking reception. If the Texans' fans had a rough day today, the 49er faithful suffered through the Apocalypse.

1. Brett Favre (NYJ)—First, it was the retirement/unretirement story. Then it was the big trade/ugly departure headline. Next, it was the Rodgers/Favre season comparison. Subsequently, it was the Romo/Favre injury conversation. Finally, it was the Millen/Favre controversy. Now, it’s the Favre turnover complaint. Is anyone else tired of this?

All year long, sportswriters and analysts wanted to call Brett Favre’s resurgence the biggest storyline of the 2007 campaign. Others wanted to dub the Patriots’ pursuit of perfection as the ultimate subplot to the season. I, however, cannot think of a bigger story, a more compelling tale of human triumph, than that of Everett.

son, he outplayed Jeff Garcia of the Buccanneers, Tony Romo of the Cowboys and future Hall of Famer Brett Favre of the Green Bay Packers in the conference championship.  It was during that game Eli Manning really arrived as Giants quarterback.  It subzero temperatures he played like he was home in New Orleans.  He didn't flinch and didn'y let the temperature get to him.
