-The Giants should’ve never released Brandon London after preseason.  He had 4 catches for Miami last Saturday in their playoff loss to the Ravens.  He’s no Plaxico Burress, but he’s 6’4 and has very good speed and agility.  He also plays with a lot of heart and seemed to fit in with the Giants overall attitude of wanting to prove something.  But I digress…

-Things I hope the Giants coaches will do:

1) Start Kenny Phillips at FS: this seems like a no-brainer although I doubt it will happen.  The Giants current starting safeties have been getting beat on a lot of long TDs the last few weeks, and Phillips every down at FS would be a changeup that the Eagles probably wouldn’t gameplan for.

2) Start Kehl at WLB – Kehl is by far the fastest linebacker on the team and probably the only one who can make plays in coverage.  The Giants OLB’s have been underwhelming for what seems like a very long time.  Hopefully he starts over Blackburn.

3) Use Darcy Johnson in the passing game (and not just on goal line plays).  The last Giants-Eagles game was painful to watch.  Our passing offense looked completely inept and our receivers struggled to get open.  Johnson really impressed me in the preseason, and in the limited action he's seen this year.  He's pretty athletic (esp for a tight end), can make acrobatic catches and he breaks tackles after the catch.  They should definitely try to use him on Sunday (and I highly doubt the Eagles would gameplan for him)

4)  Make sure to spy McNabb with someone on every third down.  It seems like someone reminded McNabb that he's still allowed to make plays with his legs and he killed the Giants with several back-breaking runs in the last game when it seemed like the Giants had perfect coverage on the receivers.
